mnesia compatibility problem

Hello, everyone,

I have deployed a ejabberd cluster with ejabberd nodes . And It works fine, except that there is a error information in error.log.
2015-11-09 11:39:38.991 [error] <0.381.0> CRASH REPORT Process <0.381.0> with 0 neighbours exited with reason: {aborted,{no_exists,[caps_features]}} in gen_server:init_it/6 line 330

Anyone have any ideas?

Ejabberd with MySQL

Hello

My Ejabberd installation with mnesia works great but I need to keep mysql on the backend. How can i configure Ejabberd with mysql. I'm using ejabberd 15.10.20 - i tried to follow guidlines of copying the beam files to beam directory and modifying the yml file with mysql credentials, still no luck. Can anyone please point me to brief set of instructions? sorry to say , ejabberd documentation is not up to the mark

ejabberdctl delete_old_message not delete mnesia offline message?

i have a problem with mnesia offline message. i want to delete every 2 day old message on mnesia database. im using ejabberdctl delete_old_message days, but no one message are deleted. can you tell me how to delete? no clear table thanks....

pubsub content based filtering

Hello:

I have a requirement to do content-based filtering for broadcast notifications.

XEP ref: 12.19 Content-Based Pubsub Systems

Is this supported?

Is there an alternate mechanism we can use?

My clients will be subscribing to Alerts. But Publisher publishes alerts with various options (for e.g zip).

If My client can subscribe with subscription-option zip, the alerts for other zips can be avoided.

my ejabberd 15.09 work fine but it returns this error:
when check my sql connection it's ok. the time is regular and every 8 hours.

ejabberd was using 100% cpu

Hi every body. After running(ejabberd 15.09, 15.10) less than one day, ejabberd(beam.smp) was using 100% cpu.
I dont have this probelm with ejabberd 15.04.
I using erlang 17.3 and debian jessie 8.2. I removed erlang but not solved my problem
Any ideas whats going on here/how to fix this?
I traced beam.smp process and I noticed it was looping.

Mobile Push Notifications on my server

Hi to everyone,

I'm using Ejabberd as XMPP server for an IM mobile app. It seems that everything is working more or less well. Now, my next step is to add something to manage the Push Notifications. The idea is to send a Push to the device of the receiver on every message, like Whatsapp or similars.

Which is the best solution for this?

I have been looking for and I have found the module "mod_zeropush", but If I understood well the mechanism, it works with the Zero servers.

Ejabberd Module mod_http_upload Problem

hello

firstly i would like to apologize if i post in wrong section. i am new to this forum and ejabberd.

i am having problem installing module http upload in my ejabberd. i am using ubuntu server 15.10 and ejabberd 15.03

i have added some configuration line in ejabberd.yml file but when i try to start the ejabbard service, it will fail. help me out on this one.

i added this line under listen: option

    request_handler:
      "": mod_http_upload

this line under modules: option

mod_http_upload:
docroot: "/home/xmpp/upload"

Message deliverd two times in ejabberd

Hi ,

In ejabberd sometime User receivnge the message for two times. Server resending the message which already deliverd to users.

How to fix this issue? please help me out in this.

ejabberd on azure's memory increased to "61G" - (only Ping)

Hello. I install ejabberd on azure. The version is 15.10 release.(Download at ejabberd github.)
I test it by 60000 Client login (at almost same time try...)... But suddenly memory grow up to - over 60G. My config is almost default.
Is there any issue ejabberd with azure or ejabbberd 15.10 memory issue??

for example session, history message, offline message
how much ram is enough for 1000k users?
how much RAM per connection?
when restart what information are removed? for example history message?

Issues with In-Band Registration

Hello,

I set up an ejabberd Server for our company.
The Server is on an external machine and altough everything else is running great, i can't seem to get it to work that Users can register accounts on our local network.

We are running ejabberd 15.10 and I have added our static IPs to the Trusted-Networks.

I have tried alot and read all I could find about mod_registration, which I assume is responsible for this issue.

Subscription of users who are not active for quite some days (2 or 3 months) is changed to none automatically in ejabberd

Consider the below scenarios:

There is one user "A" registered with the ejabberd server and is inactive for past 2 or 3 months. There is another user "B" registered with the ejabberd server and has "A" in his/contact. User "B" not able to see the status of the "A". The user "A" is getting "auth-forbidden" in response of status query of user "A".

In the roster of user "B", the subscription of user "A" is coming none and in the roster of user "A" the subscription of all users under it are coming none.

Refer the attached screenshot for the user "A" roster.

Not able create configuration for admin to add users from any network

Hi Team,

I am using ejabberd 15.09. I want to allow admin to create new users from any network.
I am creating users programmatically using smack library
I tried various options but not able make it work. Below is my configuration 

access:
    register:
        admin: allow
  trusted_network:
    all: allow


mod_register:
       ip_access: trusted_network
       access_from: register
       access: register

I feel above configuration should work, but I am not able to create an account.

Primarily we want to be able to upgrade between versions without bringing down all nodes.

ejabberd 15.11 nodes lose connection

If the two nodes lost communication (for example, ifconfig eth0 down and after 5 minutes, ifconfig eth0 up) the nodes are working independently, as two separate nodes before restarting one of the nodes. Also, the nodes lose connection if packet loss between them more than 30 %.
How to track the state of connections between nodes?
How to restore the connection between the nodes without restarting the node?

Ejabberd 15.11 mod_http_upload not working as intended

hello.

i have posted before about mod_http_upload before on https://www.ejabberd.im/forum/25255/ejabberd-module-modhttpupload-problem

i have upgraded my ejabberd to ver 15.11 tried to configured my ejabberd to enable the mod_http_upload. i follow instruction from github ( https://github.com/processone/ejabberd-contrib/tree/master/mod_http_upload ) to enable the mod.

i checked in Conversation that the mod is enabled but every time I tried to send out attachment in the chat, it will fail. I have no problem sending out text between user.

Ejabberd 15.07 erlang 18.1 add_rosteritem error

Hi all,

I have upgraded ejabberd to 15.07 version and erlang to 18.1 and I have an issue with ejabberdctl's add_rosteritem command.
Before update i could successfully add_rosteritem like that
ejabberdctl add_rosteritem micha localhost dorothy localhost michał friends both
But now i have an error

delay is coming for online users

Hi...
I am new to the ejabberd and trying to make a chat using strophe.
After auth when the presence stanza is initiated the response for the contacts is showing delay tag in response but the other user is online. Can u plz guide me what I am missing.
